Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy Edge Officially Announced

Samsung has officially announced the lunch of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
The launch confirmed quite a lot of the rumors that preceeded the announcement, discarding others.

The Samsung galaxy S7 Edge comes with Quad HD super AMOLED display: Dual edge 5.5” with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 and a display density of 577ppi. , Samsung Galaxy S7: 5.1” with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 and a display density of 577ppi.
According to a blog post

Samsung Galaxy S7 has a dimension of 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm and weighs 152g. The S7 Egde is a bit thinner and measures 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7mm. It also adds a few grams to bring the mass to 157g.

Even though the camera is 12MP which is lower than that of Samsung Galaxy S6, the technology advancement makes it superb.

Enhanced Camera

Luckily The S7 comes with a 3000mAh battery and the S7 Edge has a bigger battery with a capacity of 3600mAh.

There is a 4GB RAM with LPDDR4 technology and the internal storage is optional– and can be upgraded to at 32GB and 64GB. The interesting thing about is the re-introduced of SD card slot and supports up 200GB external storage

On there website Samsung wrote

Running out of memory shouldn't be a thing. So if 32GB isn't already enough, you can add an additional 200GB with a microSD card. No clouds, no hard drives.

The device is also powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Both of the devices has IP68 certified water-resistant.Water-resistant in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

What you need to know :

The S7 has adopted the Note 5's curved glass back, which definitely makes for a more pleasant feel when you're holding the phone. The edges of the metal frame surrounding the device are also nice and smooth, so they don't create discomfort in the hand. Weight-wise, the S7 has grown noticeably heavier, which can be attributed to the significantly larger battery inside (more on that later). Anyway, the added heft doesn't seem to detract from the aura of premiumness exuded by the Galaxy S7 – but it makes it feel more substantial for sure.
