Review : Microsoft acquired Android and iOS keyboard app Swiftkey

Microsoft acquired Android iOS keyboard app Swiftkey
It is better to note that, the rich are always trying to be richer. Same is applicable to any sector. When it comes to the widely recognised third party keyboard app on android and iOS platforms, SwiftKey application is a top notch among the rest.
While an update was recently rolled out on the application which showcased a new set of emojis available on Marshmallow OS, it is interesting to note that the company has been acquired by the giant Microsoft inc.
While the Redmond company, Microsoft, already has quite a number of apps on it’arsenal, the famous SwiftKey keyboard app (currently installed on almost 280 million devices) is it’s latest addition.
The giant company had earlier developed its keyboard application known as Wordflow with millions of download recorded. WordFlow app is exclusively available on Windows Phone.
Sometime in 2014, the Word Flow Microsoft keyboard app was used in setting a Guinness World Record for fastest texting on a touchscreen display which was broken by Fleksy app.
Some of the notable features that made swiftkey stand out of the other 3rd party keyboard are:
1.  Make it yours: customize the keyboard background with free pre-installed background, or use your desirable picture as the background.
2. Type with a swipe: are you and addict or a real ajebor, swipe through you can swipe through the keyboard with little efforts.
3. Faster yet more accurate: speed is an asset but accuracy is a treasure, experience both on swiftkey.
4. Learns from you: a good buddy that predicts the next word based on the words been used daily, you can aswell insert words with a single tap.
5. Type easily, anywhere: the app hub allows modification to suite all and sundry, either you have small fingers or big fingers you can customise the settings to your convenience.
6. Type in three languages: can you speak and write more than a language, tab the hub and add your two additional languages.
7. Emoji's: say good bye to horrible emojis and equip your chats with premium and classy emojis.
I believe these are some of the frontline features that persuades the mega company to purchase this awesome software.
Microsoft's keyboard -WordFlow- just like almost every other popular applications, can easily suggest words and correct misspellings thanks to it’s auto-correct functionality. We’d be looking forward to seeing how the Microsoft Word Flow Keyboard app competes with those already available keyboard apps currently rocking Android and iOS platforms.
However, latest updates from proved sources confirmed that, much development will be done to improve the app so as to make it available to both android and iOS platforms.
